Five Things To Start Your Day Off Right

1) Air & Water.
Before you get out of bed spend a few seconds concentrating on taking some deep breaths. As you inhale count to three, and as you exhale count to three. Do this three times. Oxygen is a great natural source of energy. Use it!
Also drink at least 8 oz. of water right after you get up. Water is another natural source of energy. Use it, too!
2) Get moving.
Whether you jog, workout, do yoga, or even some simple stretching, your body will have more energy during the day if you get some movement into it in the morning.
(If you sweat a lot during your activity, make sure to replenish with more water.)
Whether you pray, meditate, or just stare at the wall like
, 15 minutes of quiet time is a great way to get your mind focused for the day.
4) Eat a full, healthy breakfast.
We've all heard it over and over again, but it really is true. Eating a full, healthy breakfast gives you fuel for your mind and body, and also helps with weight maintenance. A serving of protein, whole grain, and fruit makes a well-rounded breakfast. (You can easily get all three with my delicious

5) What now?
Now that you've gotten your body and mind taken care of, it's time to get your day taken care of. It only takes a minute or two to jot down your plans for the day, and a bonus is that great feeling at the end of the day when you can put a check mark by these tasks. (Don't feel bad if you don't get everything done, there's always tomorrow!)
