POWER PACKED BREAKFAST SMOOTHIE

I've been making this delicious and nutritious breakfast smoothie for my husband and me for quite some time. It's been a work in progress and I've recently added even more healthy goodness; first by adding cinnamon, which is supposed to help lower blood and cholesterol levels, and have just started adding kefir milk. (

The great thing about smoothies is the flexibility in how you make them, so feel free to change it up to include whatever fruits, veggies, or other healthy ingredients you like. Leave me a comment, I'd love to hear your variations!
Power Packed Breakfast Smoothie
Makes 2 servings
1 cup plain Greek yogurt (we use non-fat)
1 cup kefir milk
1/2 to 1 cup frozen or fresh baby kale (my husband isn't a fan of kale, so I use 1/2 cup)
1/2 cup frozen blueberries (or frozen fruit of choice)
1/4 cup liquid egg whites
1 scoop protein powder
1 tablespoon wheat germ
1 tablespoon ground flax seed
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 large banana
Place all ingredients into blender or large smoothie maker and blend until smooth then pour into glasses and serve.
I serve ours in two large wine glasses. It's a special touch that makes starting a busy day just a little bit nicer.
