When baking, cut down on your sugar intake by using honey instead. It's sweeter than sugar so not as much is needed, and it has great health benefits such as being a natural antibiotic and antioxidant.
For every cup of sugar a recipe calls for substitute with 3/4 cup of honey. Since honey contains liquid be sure to reduce other liquids by a 1/4 to 1/2 cup for every 1 cup of honey you use. Also reduce oven temperature by 25 degrees.
